I fall into that classification Ann. I started off finding the CR List when searching for the scarce information about my 1984 Torpado Superlight. I was closed minded, and thought about nothing but by bike. But then, the CR bug hit, and I began looking at other bikes and widening my scope. Now, with my new open-mindedness ... I have TEN Torpados! See how the CR List helped me!??!
Seriously, it did start from a love affair with the bicycle of my later youth, and that IS how I found the CR List, but it has blossomed into me now keeping (through exposure to all this information and evaluation):
59~ Torpado w/Gian Roberts and Simplex "suicide" gear - Blue. 60-61~ Torpado "Boy's Speciale" w/Campy in Orange. 65 Cinelli SC - Chromed. 67 Paramount Tourer - Chromed. 72 Colnago Super - Green. 73 Paramount Track model - White. 73-75~ Italvega Super Speciale - Brown. 74 Masi GC Italy - Red w/after-chrome. 75 Torpado Pista model - Red. 84 Torpado Superlight - Pearl Blue. 84 Torpado (built for a Torpado Exec) w/Campy 50th - Steel Blue.
There are also many other complete bikes as well as framesets, simply adorning the walls and hooks, or just passing thru, but the above list is what I genuinely consider to be "mine". In addition, the interest spread into modern lightweights (2) and modern MTBs (2). Thanks to Dale and the CR List for abetting me in emptying my wallet ... my interest had indeed blossomed!!!
