I found out about Private feedback the hard way, a buyer "nitroflames" left me 2 neg's after he recieved two bike tires from 2 seperate auctions, after they were recieved he demanded a refund on his posted shipping amount. He had Private feedback and only buys on that eBay name so dosen't care about what feedback is left him. If you don't allready know eBay is impotent about this practice. It takes a court order to remove feedback unless there is a threat of murder or mayhem in the feedback. They do not follow their own rules at all. Sellers are not the only ones to take advantage of the Private feedback.

I am wondering what exactly is the function of having feedback if it can be made private and why E-Bay should allow such a thing? Anybody have any experience with this or thoughts on the matter?
