None of these are the two 'fakes' that was being sold out of Singapore last month. Those were not ovaloid, but rather were cut out like the knight part of these badges. As to why any diligent person would be non-committal about a response is linked to many factors, including such things as the fact that 1) you are judging a three dimensional object in a two-dimensional medium, 2) you are judging colours on a medium where colour trueness is not guaranteed, 3) you are not able to 'feel' the object which is an important element of the recognition process, 4) you can only see one side, rather than both... I am certain that others will come up with more difficulties. It should also be pointed out that Cinelli used rivetted headbadges from the 40's through to the 70's and the ones shown in this 'contest' were all representative from the 60's and 70's only.
