Dannis Wait a minute. Am I the only one who noticed that MR. A. CINELLI HIMSELF CHOOSE A FAKE OVER THE REAL BADGES?? Hello, Hello? If the world's number one expert on all things Cinelli can't tell the difference between his own work and a FAKE,,,,,,,,,??????? Yikes! There must be some typographical error or something. Steven- Are you 100% that you translated Mr. Cinelli's comment correctly? Why/How did he choose a Fake!? What does this say about other bicycle "experts"?!........Now it dawns on me what the old addage of "taking things with a grain of salt" was all about. cheers? Dave Anderson Cut Bank (Cinelli-less) MT
****************************************************************************** ********************* Listers, So I merely want to know which one of the these fakes corresponds to the Fake Ebay badge? And why was Mr. Cinelli so non-comittal in his response below? Cheers, Dave Anderson Cut Bank MT
The photo with the answers (fake badges have the Japanese script over them)
is posted at: http://www.villagephotos.com/
Andrea Cinelli has responded below. The translation of his comments would be:
>From the images, it is very difficult to distinguish the background colors,
and the surface. I can only say that
1) all the smaller badges (the originals that I have) have a gold colored
lily on white background (the snake is also in gold)
2) On the larger badges, the lily is red on white background (the snake is
green).
I will leave the choice up to you (badge E seems to respond most to the
above-mentioned requirements)
You would also need to feel them to be sure.
>Thanks for playing!
