Hi all, the best hubs I've used are Mavic RD556 or RD566?, loverly shape, smooth bearings, nice and light, strong flanges for those radial spoked front wheels that I like, followed closely by OMAS big sliding hubs, their only real faults are those chrome parts that rust so easy, and the lack of real strength in the flanges, but I've never had a failure yet. Campagnolo Record hubs are the best servicable cup/cone hubs, small flange of course, I have no idea why people get so workewd up about large flange hubs......regards wayne davidson Invers NZ, sun is still shining........
