There were fairly few McLean tandem made. I would guess fewer than a dozen! I certainly hope you take that project on or at least someone else have a go at it. Is it for sale or do you already own it? What a shame to lose that one...

Is it marked McLean or Silk Hope? I assume you have already visited the pages in the Classic Rendezvous devoted to him? As you can learn there, I am the "gate keeper" for the original decals that are remaining (with fairly strict conditions for their release.)

Beyond that site content, I do not think there is much info to be had. The serial number should be stamped on the underside of the rearmost bottom bracket shell (not the eccentric front.)

Please let me know what becomes of this bicycle!
