Good day, Gentlemen,

I just picked up a Shimano? bike. It is completely outfitted with Shimano 600 components. Everything, hubs, derailleur, brakes, crankset, shifters, headset, brakes levers, and etc. The only missing is the seatpost which is obviously not original. It has a 6 spd freewheel, with non-aero brake levers. It is built on a very light weight lugged frame, with Columbus dropouts. The rear dropout is horizontal, and the seatstay are very finely tapered into the seat cluster almost appearing to be wrapped around at first glance. It is a painted white with "Shimano Racing Components" decal on the headtube, fork blades, down tube and seat tube and chainstays. It would appear that the only parts that would have not been Shimano original would have been the Nitto drop bars and stem.

So did Shimano sell bikes or is this some sort of cobbled together team bike of sorts?

I will get some pictures put on the net soon, if anyone is interested to know more about it.

Thank you,
