Lest anyone think I was slighting Ed Litton, when listing Bay Area bicycling treasures, I was looking at the list as being one of bike shops and bike gear sources. Rivendell does cover that and while they design and sell frames, those aren't made in the Bay Area. And being a wee bit technical for a moment, Ed Litton is in Point Richmond, not my own Richmond. Still, getting back to Ed, I would certainly agree about including him in a treasures list of all things bicycle. I was admiring one of his restorations yesterday when I visited Bob Freitas, and I currently have three bikes that Ed has painted for me, one that I ride daily. When you visit his shop, it's like a candy store checking out all the projects in process, and the discussions are always fun too. (Lucky for me he doesn't have a shop rate for asking just one more question. I'd be broke.)

Back to the bike shop listing, yes, we have lots of great shops here, and it's probably not fair at all that we have such great riding terrain and weather here to.
