as a 'neophyte' vintage bicycle admirer, i would not have known the Raleigh was a lower end model without this list. it 'looked' good to me.

and being a neophyte admirer, i've also been a neophyte bidder only to 'discover' my information lacking and was fortunately outbid by a more neophyte bidder then me.

other then this list and a few other sites, i don't think there is any other way of learning about these things. i didn't begin riding(seriously) until after the CR timeline ends.

anyway, the neophyte thing struck a cord with me.
