It would more likely be a 26.2 steel seat post! I heard a lot of them broke,
so steel ones are rare and were only made from 1958 to 1961. Eisentraut used
the tops of as many as he could find to make seatpostless frames. A long seat
tube going up through the seat lug to the exact height (with only the steel top
part of the Campy post, brazed in place) for a specific rider to use with a
specific seat. Talk about custom!
There is probably an early variation of the alloy post that could be
distinguished by it's lettering, that could be pretty rare. I haven't looked at enough
early ones to know for sure.
