Subject: [CR]Cyclo 24 and list etiquette

While I find the questions raised about Cyclo 24 interesting and a fair warning, I also find that Dale's (the other Dale) complaints about list etiquette equally interesting. For me, when I make a gaff, a public one on the list--whether misspellings, calling Whitworth theading Wentworth (where I went to ninth grade--us old guys goof things up, you know), calling parts by the wrong name or whatchamacallits--I appreciate and respect a private email sent to me correcting me or commenting. I prefer that venue over the public forum in fact. The private one seems to me to demonstrate an understanding of falliablities and foibles that most of us have.

That's just my opinion, and I'm still happy to have the list.

Cheers.
