Adamo Modolo founded MODOLO in 1952. In the beginning they were just component suppliers for touring and "every day" bikes. In 1975 the equipped 1 Mil. bikes. They got into the racing business in 1976, when son Domenico joined the company and designed the Professional brake, which was the first aerodynamically designed brake of the world. It was available to the market in 1977. This was the year where they also introduced the first self-lubricating housing.
The brakes were produced in different colors (I`m looking for gold ones!!) and the levers drilled.
 Speedy and Flash brakes introduced
Kronos levers (first aero levers with internal cable routing). These were made of carbon.
Kronos brakes: reduced centepull, very light and little wind resistance. Only 3000 produced!
Corsa, Sporting and Cross brakes. "919" anatomic grips introduced. First anatomic grips worldwide.
Master-Pro brake: titanium bolt, anthrazite hardox tongs, white levers. This was the jewel of MODOLO production. Sinterred brake pads w/o rubber or asbestos Hinault, Fignon and Lemond (Renault-Elf-Gitane) win races all over Europe with these brakes. Lemond World Champion.
 Kronothech bike by Bottecchia/Modolo.
 Anatomic bars - another first.
two-piece stem and seria "90" brakes
