Tom,

I love the Sugino Mighty Competiton cranks; I've got one of them and a Super Mighty, too. The workmanship is really nice.

I think it was Chuck Schmidt who pointed out that the Sugino chainrings are made of a softer alloy than the Campagnolo rings, so they don't last as long. But with the 144bcd, you can get the Campagnolo rings if you have the inclination.

I wouldn't hesitate to use the Sugino crank or rings, though. With the Willow tripilizer, your knees should stay happy. These days I've been using a Sugino AT triple with a granny gear, and it sure comes in handy on some of the hills around these parts.

Of course, those Stronglights sure are classy cranks, too!

Good luck, and have fun with the Holdsworth!
