Subject: [CR]follow up: bad shipping

This is a follow up to the post earlier this month regarding the poor shipping and packing job that I got with a classic bike. A great deal of members emailed me offlist regarding the issue so I am summing it up by saying the seller from Ebay sent me an email to say he would refund my shipping considering that he didn't do his best in the shipping area. It is a good offer to at least try and make right a bad situation and I will give him credit for attempting to make good on the auction. Of course we will wait and see if he does indeed follow up on the offer to refund the shipping as well. Unfortunately the item was less than accurately described as well which left me without a ride.

And I know that Dale frowns upon "attaboys" but I have to toss out a big thanks to some UK members for helping me out in my quest for a bike. Bruce Robbins and Bob Reid...as well as some other UK and Scottish friends have been superbe in assisting with various things. Bruce is currently making phone calls and setting up all kinds of goodies for me so I gotta say thanks to the chaps on the other side of the pond. With any luck. I will be posting some picks of a flying scot sometime in the future.
