Hello to all. I recently came across some nice items and am trying to get some info on these items such as approximate year of manufacture and any relevant information. Thanks in advance for any help:
1) Info on a what appears to be a 1930's road bike. It has a Schwinn engraved adjustable stem, "Schwinn built" engraved calipers, 26 X 1-1/4 Dunlop rims with Bayliss Willy hubs--the rear is a 3 speed "cassette" style freewheel and 26" President "Inflate Hard" tires. It has a Rota derailleur (thanks to Jim at Cyclart for the info). The bike has what appears an original paintjob with "Hank & Franks-Oakland" (as in the bike shop) transfers on the headtube and seatube and a "Super Tourist Lightweight" decal on the downtube. It also has a serial # stamped on the left dropout. I am trying to set a web page with pictures soon. Any ideas on who or what company built the frame?
2) I also acquired a 1969 Hetchins English built Hetchins "Italia" (according to the Hetchins.org site) it has a TA cottered aluminium crankset (ref http://www.classicrendezvous.com/
3) A "Frejus" engraved 3 piece front hub a la FB high flange, except this one has almost heart shaped cutouts on the flanges rather than round. Date? model and does anyone have a rear to match?
4) similarly, a Bianchi engraved rear low flange three piece hub. the locknuts show 58. Anyone has a front?
5) A what appears to be a 50's legnano track frame, very beefy, very looking stout looking lugs. How do I tell the date? and also unfortunatelly, it has no fork. Anyone have a fork to sell/trade?
6) I also came across a boxful of TA, RFG, Phillips and TDC bottom bracket cups. Anyone interested in trading let me know
and lastly (for now) #7) I have a Williams tandem crankset (sorta) I have the front left and right, and a left rear. sadly the front right (chainwheel) side is missing. Any info in finding one would be appreciated.
