Ah, the trials and tribulations of living in the harsh harsh environment of southern california. :)

When I was in boston I used to buy and sell cheap crappy bikes out of my dorm room and saw 2 or 3 frames with rusted out seat tubes (one of which i discovered after I spent 20 buck on it, killing my profits for a month or two...) It was over 10 years ago, and I knew a lot less about bikes then, so they could have been broken st bikes that rusted afterwards, but I think they were too high up the tube for a HAZ type failure.
