I hear and understand Wayne' s comments, except (and while it may be possible to see it from the photos at the Speedbicycles site) this particular frameset/bike has very deep, very nicely-applied paint which is not like some of the other Italian frames I have seen that may be more typical of the era and perhaps this marque. The decals on this 22 year old bike are 100% intact and appear to be original. The alignment of the decals and the overall fit and finish -- as I said before -- are excellent. In Stefan's note to me before he sold me the bike, he thought that this bike may have been a special order for an favored customer, so the paint and the detailing may not be typical of what Wayne has experienced. However, as I also said before, the few other early Pins I have seen have all been a step above the more commonly-found Italian frames of the era.
Perhaps this one is just an exception. Of course, that hardly upsets me :-)
