The mod. Gentleman was Super Champion's answer to the narrow high pressure rim.. The mod. 58 was the work horse wider rim that preceded the Gentleman by many years. The Gentleman 81 was a dated version (1981) which had some new finishes and was just trying to sound up-to-date... For both models, the label changed over the years as well as available finishes. Oval to rectangular, blue or red... ... With the Wolber take over of the Super Champion marque, , the Gentleman rim model went away as such and the mod. 58 continued with, for a short time, a new label having both the Wolber and Super Champion names included thereon.
