Bob- I have to disagree. 95% of the times I have purchased bike via "mail", I have had impeccable shipping conditions that cost ZERO dollars. Hence, I never charge for packing, even though as many point out, it can take up to an hour. Of the ONE time that I did pay for "boxing", I got exactly that, a box with a bike in it, with NO other form of packaging. Came to me with the drop-outs sticking out of the box, broken drop-out adjuster screws, bent derailluer hanger, laterally bent fork, 2 broken spokes, a slighly bent handle bar, a slighly bent left-side crank arm, majorly Scraped frame,,,,,,and it only cost me $35 extra. But the seller Didn't include insurance with that amount. I think your statement below is too broad to make with any certainty. Cheers- Dave in MT
