I am a old biker with a lot of old bikes, mostly British, like Holdsworths (4), Jack Taylor, Claud Butler, Raleigh, Moulton, etc. I don't collect them, I have them because I ride them. For example, one of my Holdsworths ('74 Cyclone) has gone 105,000 miles and another ('69 Chronometro) 42,398. I have recently completed my third bicycling book, a bio of my biking life starting in 1958 in Philadelphia and moving on to Minnesota in 1970. It describes 45 years of biking all over the USA, Canada, most of Europe and a few other places like Israel and New Zealand. It also includes maintenance records on stuff I've used including miles to wear out tires, chainrings, freewheels, chains, etc. and it names names. The book was printed in Febuary 2004 and the first printing has sold out. I am reprinting about May 1 but only enough copies to meet advanced orders. If interested, contact me asap. The book is 8-1/2 by 11, 380 pages, well illustrated, and costs $30 plus $3.00 shipping. As printing costs me about $30, it is effectively a non profit adventure.

I will also consider sending just the maintenance chapter for $5 postpaid.
