I will tell you the truth at some point I go for the new tire. I just do not want to lose a tire at my age it takes too long to heal. Steven Willis 1778 East Second Street Scotch Plains NJ 07076 908-322-3330 http://www.thebikestand.com

Checked the archives and found a similar thread but....... I have Wolber 290's on my Raleigh Pro and have noticed the base tape has peeled loose from tire along the edge where it meets rim. Since rim is narrower than the tire I have the tape sticking straight out where it wants to brush against brake pads. I tried glueing it down with Continental cement but a week later it had slowly come undone. Am I going to have to reglue and maybe try to clamp tape against tire until it sets? Or should I try a more permanent glue? The tire / tape / rim seem to be firmly attached to each other otherwise.
