As I still don't have a copy of the 49 catalogue page I am unable to compare my frame with that, and the comparisons made have been with the advertisement in Cycling of August 18th 49. Hawkeye Norman has noticed a difference between my frame and that in the ad., in that my frame has a seat pin tube clamp, as with my All Rounder and Lady Lightweight, but the one in the ad. has a complete seat lug and pinch bolt as with a normal lugged frame. I would be interested to hear what the catalogue pic. shows. As the finish on the frame is not original it will at some time be refinished, at which point I can examine the frame for any signs of modifications at any time. Colin Matthews, the V-CC Claud Butler ME, once told me that he understood that C-Bs were "playing around" with various bi-lam ideas in the late 40s, and my frame may be the result of one such experiment.
