The shop that papa Grewal ran was Sherpa Sports. They took out the original ads for Guerciotti in Bicycling! magazine. There were always quite a lot of riders of both marques (Guerciotti and Monte) in the Aspen area. My uncle, who flew for United, would run into Monte quite a lot on trips in to Denver and on the Aspen commuter as well. Quite a character as you say.
