One might think not, but then you never know.

When rifling through an old cycle shop lately I found a lever, not unlike a Cyclo derailleur lever, only with the imprint "Lautaret Bte SGDG" on the friction plate. I vaguely remembered that name, so I got the lever. Back home I couldnĀ“t find anything on it, though.

Last weekend in Holland when taking part in the International 2CV Van Meet (pictures:www.citroenazu.tk), I gazed with amazement under the bonnet of a beautiful and very old van, fifties vintage, and was suddenly struck by a nice transfer on the air filter housing which read "Lautrette". Ah.

So what _is_ my lever? French, ok. Any more ideas, anyone?

Thanks.
