Jerry-
a couple things go through my mind. I don't know why the seller is calling it
a 60s bike as it looks totally early 70s to me and all the compoents are
early 70s. I think the seller doesn't have a good grasp on what is a realistic
reserve price is. Apparently he had the same problem with a bike that Ray Homiski
was looking at.

So if nothing else, in general, his reserves are way too high for the market to bare. On a personal note, I believe that the bike is worth $750, maybe even $850. As far as the "image" issue is concerned, you are getting into the "hot-air" territory where you will find that your own opinion is the only one that really matters. cheers Dave Anderson Cut Bank MT

My max bid was $625. Reserve was $1000. I've offered the seller $650 and he countered $750. This is a really nice example, but I'm afraid that the image of Falcon is not strong enough that I could resell the bike for $750 if I had to. Opinions anyone?
