from the acquisition until at least the late 70's, but these cutouts seem to
appear for the first time in 1974, then quickly disappear. Or maybe the
cutouts were present in earlier years and I just haven't seen that many Pros
"in the flesh" or at least haven't examined the bottoms of the BB shells.<
I think the Carlton name was still a selling point in the 70's. My 74 Professional has the "CC" cutouts.
I also have a 77 SuperCourse that came with the Carlton decal on seat tube.
