Subject: [CR]Flying Scot Track Frame with a busted fork...

Weird ebay behaviour....

This Flying Scot track frame...

http://ebay.com/<blah>

stalled at $316 with 14 bids and gets re-listed shortly after with a buy-it-now of $400 ! - for a frame with a busted fork ? - okay it's a Scot, but with that fork broken in the crown area (my guess is that stem was/is stuck fast in the steerer and the busted fork came about through a ham-fisted attempt to remove it in a vice (not a British police force special crimes unit). Failing that it's had one heavy frontal impact and what else has it done.

I've asked the seller for more details / better photographs in return for him mentioning my website at least ten times (great free publicity), after which the description gets revised yet again (six times ?), and any mention of the website disappears from his listing. There may of course be a legitimate answer to all this, and if the seller 'throwbackbikes' is a CR member, I apologise if this is not the case, but how about some details...

Now the sales pitch !

$400 / 225 g.b.p. ! sheesh, I've got a Scot track frame c/w fork - in a rather unfetching black powder coat lacking transfers and in need of a loving home (sizes and further details provided if anyone is interested, but it's 23.1/2" c-c if I remember correctly) someone can have for $300 and I'll throw in the post and pack to the US for free...
