Driving home yesterday I noticed a gold bike with a for sale sign on it,it was the front piece for a garage sale.
I was told it was a "1964 SCHWINN CONTINENTAL" with SIMPLEX derailleurs ,front is rod operated and the rear is a plunger type
further investigation showed it to be a 1960 model, the first non PARAMOUNT 10 speed from SCHWINN (1960 VARSITY was an 8 speed).
Very interesting decalling with MEDIEVAL helmets etc. Its a tad tall for me but for $70 I could not pass it up.
