Subject: [CR]How to tell if Columbus Record or KL

Hi all. I have never seen any Columbus stickers for their Record and KL tubing. I have a Colnago Mexico Oro which is supposed to have one or the other, but it does not have a Columbus decal at all. I have a couple of other bikes that I believe were also made with Record or KL tubing. One is a gold-plated Guerciotti with no model name on it (a series of various countries' flags is painted on the top tube), and the other is a gold-plated Ciocc Mod. San Cristobal. Both were supposedly made for the 78 or 79 New York bike show. Neither one of them has Columbus decals on them, and both are lighter than similarly equipped and sized SL bikes. Besides writing to the frame builders and hoping to get an answer, is there any way to know if the tubing used was Record or KL? I reviewed the archives but didn't find an answer.
