A DAF rider? Maybe he got it from a DAFT rider; or perhaps a DAFFY rider. It's more likely that he's making it all up, especially the part about the Japanese buyer.
I do like the claim he made about the special "low profile" chain, though. I mean, at least he showed enough courtesy to conjure up some lies with an air of credibilty.
