Secret: this design is one of the most uncomfortable things ever to have a go at the human posterior.

Back in the day, I thought this was a hot setup and so did lots of my friends. But the comfort of a leather saddle depends on the flex in the rails to create a sort of hammock effect. These rails are solid--ain't going nowhere. Five minutes to hematomaville.

Plus, the designer didn't think through the tension screw. The same hardware was used as on steel railed models. However, the metal piece that the screw sits in is way bigger, so that the screw runs out of threads three times sooner than if it were in a steel railed model. Result: saggy saddle.

So take heart. Someone will have an incredibly rare, incredibly expensive, super beautiful boat anchor.
