Of course, you can't forget the practice often found on Swiss bikes in which the steering tube has the French outside diameter and threading but is reamed to accept a "normal" 22.2mm diameter stem.

To be honest, I love the quirkiness of Swiss frames - at least until I have to buy replacement parts.

The BB shell was French and the Headset was BSC. I didn't know what to think and was wondering if any one else had a Cresent with this arrangement cheers- Dave Anderson Cut Bank MT
