Subject: [CR]MY patch quantities on ebay.

I felt the need to address the list because of a recently received email from offlist and then off ebay. one example is below as posted by beaverstuff.

I've been in Boy Scouts over 20 years. I find your claim of "25" to be unreasonable. Mills that make patches, will usually not start a "run" for less than 200 patches (crests). beaver_lodge@juno.com <beaver_lodge@juno.com>

I recently got slammed offlist and off ebay by someone who claims I am lying about the quantity of patches I make because I say I only make 25-30 of each type. Well...anyone that knows me knows I am honest. I must have also hit one good little company too for making my patches because I am not forced to make 200...

Firstly...I can't afford a full run of over 200 of each type as this person suggested is the minimum run of patches anyone will make. I don't make a whole heck of a lot in the first place and rather find this fun and use the funds to keep http://www.fixedgearhooligans.com running smoothly. Secondly...I don't need to lie about it. Let's be honest here...what is the demand for 200 Falcon patches??? or 200 Hercules patches??? Better yet...how about 200 Reg Harris patches that I am currently working on...not quite. More like 10 of these will be made. Next...I think this is a classic example of someone doing some ebay policing with their head up their...

I have the patches made myself...not by some BIG mega $ company out there. I don't need a minimum quantity. I have done many a custom order for folks off several of the lists and always...always have done the orders whether in quantities of 10 or 20 or whatever it may be. If I really was doing them in BIG quantities...what good is that for me. Currently I am getting close to selling out of many of my patch samples because I only do low # which is good for everyone involved too...just clearing up the record though.
