The weather was sunny, cool and quite breezy and a good time was had by all.
As fixed friendly as this ride was supposed to be, I'm glad I was told to
bring something Cinelli, allowing me the use of my Centurion beater (built by
Cinelli) with a 39x28 for a few of those friendly hills. Tom Rawson, Wayne
Bingham and I managed to come in a bit late. Tom, riding fixed got dropped
mostly by being undergeared, Wayne hasn't been riding relating to his recent
move, and me, I'm just slow. Since I had a cue sheet holder and computer on my
bike, they depended on me to find the route back, BIG MISTAKE! I only missed
one cue with a bit more than a mile each way till I realized it, and we
managed a credible 32 miles and change for the total ride. A true ride doesn't
become an adventure until you do a bit of exploring. Ken provided a wonderful
spread of homemade Chili and pizza with a fine selection of libation back at
his house. The bike conversation was lively and I had a great time! I've got
photos posted of the event. Feel free to check 'em out. I've included the few
pictures I took at the T-town swap. The full size photo can be linked to the
right and below of the picture that comes up.
