Subject: [CR]A nice ride, but...

Glorious autumn weather here in Northern Germany at the moment, and what with myself being on holidays, my son spending a week with his grandparents and my wife having to work I took the Gillott Taper Tube for a spin. Just a perfect outing (excepting a minor hitch) in the gently rolling to hilly countryside we have around here, leaves just turning yellow and red, sort of Rilke-ish. Why can´t life be like that, not always, that would be asking a bit much, but, say, once a month?

The bike is a dream, the only thing is that I have so far not been able to fit the double chainwheel. Everything is ready, small chainwheel, Simplex stick changer to go with the Simplex rear, special band to cope with the taper tube´s extra thickness where the stick changer needs to go. What´s the problem, I hear you ask.

The problem is that I can´t get hold of any Chater Lea double chainwheel bolts it seems. Nobody seems to have a spare set of three, especially not here in Germany. A lister perhaps?
