ATTENTION ALL LIST MEMBERS:

The monthly meeting of the Toronto No Click Club was amazing last night, our planned agenda "Eroica" was complimented by the "First Outing" of an absolutley beautiful Cinelli SC restored by Gary Dellarossa (and the impressive work by Bicycle Specialties) and Mark Hukezalie's latest acquisition, a very, very impressive 55.5cm "Richard Sachs" with a lustrous coating by Joe Bell. This frame has to be seen to be believed !!!!!

The Eroica Report from Mike Barry included some wonderful history of Liguria, insightful comments from Mike accompanied by a digital slideshow of photographs from truly "one of a kind" Bicycle and Transportation museums that made each of us appreciate the history of Cycling, from a distinctly Italian perspective. Thank you Mike.

And lastly, Mike unwrapped the long awaited NOS Vittoria Margherita derailleur that was mentioned by Edward Albert, of Chappaqua, NY of in his September 30th Eroica Report. We have discussed derailleur technology numerous times in our monthly gatherings and again last night we discussed the ingenuity of the French and the Italian manufacturers, both committed to entirely different designs. The Vittoria Margherita methodology is a truly amazing mechanical replacement to the human hand, while in the same decade Simplex evolved their commitment to an entirely different strategy.

Well once again, another monthly meeting that always proves to be educational. Thank you Mike for hosting us again, thank you for the epic "photographic" account from Eroica to Madonna Del Ghisallo.

Next meeting in Toronto, Wednesday November 17th, 2004.

Create a great day !!!
