Greg, I know there are classic definitions for what a spindle does and what an axle does and that Campagnolo started out calling the hub axles, pedal axles and crank axles "spindles" in their early catalogs, but they don't call 'em that in their later catalogs. In the later catalogs it is all axles!
I'll raise your "neener, neener, neener" to an "oh yeah"?
