Being a former custodian of this particular bike, I am fairly certain that it is authentic, original, and an Italian built '76 model, which the serial number verifies. I believe the Prestige frames of the period were transitional models, and represent some of the early use of Italian IC lugs and stay plugs, but (at least this one) still with the Fisher (sp?) BB shell. Probably early use of the decal style too. I believe that Charles is the fourth owner of the bike, which was originally purchased in a shop in Colorado and built up by that shop. The person I got it from was pals with the original owner, remembered the purchase, and bought it when it was only a couple years old. Unfortunately, it sat on a trainer for many years. Fortunately, it wasn't "trained-on" too much!
Still a few pangs of regret here.
