I'm getting deeper into the bowels of the Fed-Ex Claims machine for my damaged Merckx frame. They now want an invoice for repair. I've been told that it isn't repairable, but if they'd like a quote, I'm sure someone would be able to come up with something. I've only asked them for the claimed value of $400, but I have to imagine that repairing this thing would go significantly higher than that.

I'd like to hear your comments on the pros and cons of even trying to fix this thing. And, any of you frame-repair craftsmen, can a quote be given from photos?
