Here are some interesting bikes for sale. I am offering them to CR first, then will put on ebay in a couple weeks if no takers. All bikes measured to the top:
1. Early 70s? Hetchins Italia Hellenic straight stay. 24" x 22 1/2" (or 61
x 57 to you continentals). TA triple cranks and pedals, Phil hubs and BB,
Deore rear and Campy front derailleurs, Suntour Bar-cons, Nitto Bars and stem,
Mafac Racer brakes, Campy SR post with Bob Freeman titanium shaft, newish Brooks
B17, Mavic rims, fenders and a matching rear rack. Beautiful two-tone paint
by our buddy Brian Baylis, a few scratches since then. Overall condition
Excellent to Mint. Pictures at http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/
2. 1983 Eddy Merckx, 61 x 58 cm. All Super Record (no titanium) with Araya
Aero 1 tubulars, new Conti Giro tires, Bernard Hinault Turbo, Cinelli bars and
stem. Low miles and excellent condition. Original decals and paint with a
couple small chips. Asking $1500. Pics at

3. Early 80s De Rosa with Benotto (Italian, not Mexican) decals. This is a
very curious and possibly rare bike. The paint and decals are definitely
original but it is also definitely made by De Rosa. I am calling it a Benotto
team bike made by De Rosa. Anyone heard of anything like this? It has the
distinctive De Rosa diamond chainstays, heart seatstay plug, heart fork, De Rosa
Panto chainring and stem (old logo, and old logo bars!), Super Record cranks,
brakes, shifters, front derailleur, headset, seat post, C-Record rear
derailleur, Turbomatic saddle. The frame is SLX but the forks say Reynolds. Size is 58
x 57 cm. Not shown but included are some nice SL pedals. Wheels are still
in Italy so I am selling as is until they arrive for $1200. Very Good
condition with some wear to frame and parts. Comes with a couple spare Benotto decals.
