Martin,
I recommend you get in touch with Mel Pinto Imports in Falls
Church, Virginia or have your LBS contact them. In fact, it
might actually be quicker to call the Bicycle Pro Shop in
Georgetown (Washington, D.C.) since it is associated with Mel
Pinto. Anyway, they carried those seat posts in 1986 and
beforehand during the CR time line as well. I can't imagine
that there was much demand for those things, although Peugeot
used them on some models in the late '70s and/or early '80s.
By the way, I remember seeing these posts in both aluminum
and a black plastic that seemed to be (at least in my
recollection) the same Delrin that was used in the plastic
Simplex derailleurs.
