Wasn't the geometry problem that the seam on the BB shell could strike the ground before the pedals in some instances? ;)
They also had a really big pedal overlap if I remember.

mid 70's. I remember getting a Crescent catalog about 1974 or 1975 that had
this model in it. I think the geometry was the same a the pro 531 models.
I vaguely recall there was something odd about the geometry of these bikes,
but don't recall exactly what.
