Groene is the Dutch/Flemish word for green and is often impossible to pronounce correctly for most English mother tongue speakers. It is pronounced as two syllables with the first starting with a guttural 'g' flowing into a rolling 'r' (both of which are not uses in the English language) and ending with a sound similar to the 'ew' in the word screw. The second syllable is 'ne' and is pronounced just like the french word for knot.
Leeuw is the Dutch/Flemish for lion and is pronounced approximately as 'Lay'-'ooh'
