Howdy all,

I finally got my '82 Olmo on the road. If any one is interested, my amateurish photos are here:

Select the Olmo album....obviously.

This bike is fast! And light too. It was begging to be sprinted, so I found myself going for down in the drop sprints until my legs wobbled. Too bad it has friction shifting or I'd ride it in the local crits. I had forgotten how lousy the braking power of stock campy brakes are. (no flaming please!) I'm going to try some kool stops or mathausers so I can slow down when *I* want to. Also, the wheels are temporary. I am building up a set of silver finish tubs and a set of silver finish clinchers. One set for show, and one set for go. I think the silver rims will look better with the frame color.

It's not as perfect as Eric Elman's, but I RIDE mine. :-)

Thanks to the omnipotent despot for this frame. Now on to the next project.
