many frames broke as a result of the stress risers caused by columbus' inane process of branding their tubes. by the mid-80s they did away with it in favor of ink.

I have a 1965 Atala track bike that has the dove in the oval barely visible through the yellow pearl paint. Under the dove, within the oval, is the word Columbus, and below the oval 0.6-0.9 is visible. It's on the down tube just below the head lug, facing upwards.
