I visited Grandis in May; they are located in Verona. The shop was quite
busy and they were in the process of opening a larger, second, store. They
had a full line of bikes which they build: steel, aluminum, and carbon. They
were all beautifully made. The steel bikes were TIG welded except for the
BBs that were lugged (they did make a fully lugged bike until recently and
it may still be available). They specialize in making bikes to
measure....you see a model and then get measured and then they build it. If
I understood one of the sons correctly they have so much business within
Italy that they are not interested in exporting (which they did in the
past). I was impressed with the number of roadies that were constantly
streaming into the store which had tons of "stuff".
