The quey about deciding whether the chainset on List member's Lejeune is a Stronglight 106 o a 107 is noy difficult to resolve. Of the two the 106 at a glance resembled a Campag Super Record, more or less in the same way as TA's TEVANO did. Cranks and rings alike were sharp edged millings or stampings.

At some distance the 107 - the very top of Stronglight's range looked not too disimilar from a Super Record, but closer inspection shows the edges of the cranks and the spider to be softly radiused to render them more aerodynamic. The outer chainring differed substantially in that the "web" of the rings where the "V" meets the perimeter of the toothed section, is not perforated with a stamped out triangle.. it is left solid with a subtle line tracing the shape of that joining piece. The whole assembly appears more svelte subtle and aerodynamic and less chiselled and sharp-edged.
