As I recall, a couple of years ago, someone offered a steerer extension that fit inside the steerer tube, and tightened with a wedge bolt like a quill stem, with the extension fitting flush with the threaded part of the steerer. I have seen (and have one) that Cinelli offers for unthreaded steerers, but I don't recall actually seeing one for the threaded variety. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
