I gather that there'e a run on the Dollar In Japan as Kauzo and his colleagues hit the country's reserves of greenbacks, so that they can start bidding for the latest crop of French goodies to emerge from France via a French seller on to Ebay. Not satisfied with his current crop of memorabilia such as a Simpex 543 rear and matching front mech to go with the Stronglight 57/63 chainset, PARISBICYCLE, one of the latest "nouveaux arrives" on Ebay, has just launched some more of his exrea-specials.

But don't go looking unless you have the necessary $2010 just to get you on the starting line.

His offers include a Rene Herse 1950 hand-made front mech ( I wont labour my feelings about this one.. dont want to upset the Hersephiles on the List), a pair of Mk 1 Mafac Criterium brakes, a set of Lefol cantis, a FULL NIVEX 4-speed rear mech/hub set-up, and, of course, the usual sprinkling of front and rear lights...Oh and a Cyclo Pans 5sp block starting around $120.

Do I hear $500 at the back of the room to start off the bidding for the RH front mech..?

When I get back to France in a couple of weeks I really must find those haystacks under which the natives are burying these treasures... sod the needles I keep finding

Norris Lockley .. thinking that I can knock out some repro RH front mechs for less than $30 a shot.. Settle -sur- Ribble. UK
