Some centerpull-equipped Legnano bikes have a threaded stud brazed to the back of the seat lug, and a special cable anchor/hanger made to bolt onto this stud.

Others used a hanger attached to a clamp which fit around the seatpost just above where it goes into the frame.

I can send pics of the first version, if required.

On Legnanos with the seatbinder in front of the seattube, how does one hook up rear centerpull brakes? There is no bridge with a rear brake cable stop between the chainstays.

I realize one could hook up sidepulls, but this particular bike came with centerpull brakes, a seatbinder cable housing hanger stop (it doesn't fit around the seattube). The brakes had been removed from the bike when I received it, so I do not know whether these brakes were thrown in and the seller did not consider the problem, indicating that it probably had sidepulls on it from the get-go.

I have a set of Universal sidepulls that would work, but I would like to know if any have solved this problem or whether there is special rear brake cable stop for Legnanos or whether these Legnanos came with sidepulls.

Thank you.

Cheers.
